FIRE OF MERCY: The Light of Faith PILGRIMAGE

Good afternoon everyone! Sorry for the late email with this, but here is what you need to know for this Saturday’s Fire of Mercy pilgrimage.
First, I’ve attached a Gasper River “Risk & Release” form that you’ll need to fill out and bring with you OR fill out immediately when you arrive on Saturday morning (I will have extra copies). If you do not fill this form out, you cannot participate in the ropes courses that Gasper River Youth Camp is offering us!  Second, I’ve attached a list of “WHAT TO BRING” for our overnight stay at Gasper River.
The general itinerary is attached and at the bottom of this email, so please arrive at St. Luke no later than 6am. I know this is an early morning, but we have a long day filled with activities so come prepared! You will not be disappointed! We have rented a BUS for this trip, so no other transportation will be needed! We plan to be back to Louisville on Sunday between 2pm and 2:30pmEST in time for St. Athanasius’ Divine Mercy Sunday celebration. Make sure to park and leave your cars in the small parking lot near the gym doors @ St. Luke. If there’s anything else that comes up, I’ll let you know.
Please call me at 502-428-6757 if you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks!

Prayers for the Youth Group

That Jesus Will Be Lifted Up In Youth Ministries

Loving Lord Jesus we pray that You will be lifted up in the youth ministries of today and that the saving gospel of grace will be shared with the young people that attend. We ask that such Church and Christian fellowships will be places of fun and fellowship – but also that Your name will be lifted up and honoured.

Lord You have said that if You are lifted up You will draw all people unto Yourself – we pray that many will be drawn to You through the different youth fellowships and that many will come to know Jesus as their Saviour and come to a true knowledge of the truth of Scripture. Lord Jesus there are many young people that are hurting and lost and afraid and discouraged and we pray that Your Holy Spirit would guide many to explore the their local Christian youth group and that they would find all that they need in Jesus Christ.

Bless the leaders of Christian youth groups and give them the wisdom to lead by example and the have a heart for those that are in their care, so that Your name is lifted up and glorified in their lives, in Jesus name we pray,

Amen
