Good afternoon everyone! Sorry for the late email with this, but here is what you need to know for this Saturday’s Fire of Mercy pilgrimage.
First, I’ve attached a Gasper River “Risk & Release” form that you’ll need to fill out and bring with you OR fill out immediately when you arrive on Saturday morning (I will have extra copies). If you do not fill this form out, you cannot participate in the ropes courses that Gasper River Youth Camp is offering us! Second, I’ve attached a list of “WHAT TO BRING” for our overnight stay at Gasper River.
The general itinerary is attached and at the bottom of this email, so please arrive at St. Luke no later than 6am. I know this is an early morning, but we have a long day filled with activities so come prepared! You will not be disappointed! We have rented a BUS for this trip, so no other transportation will be needed! We plan to be back to Louisville on Sunday between 2pm and 2:30pmEST in time for St. Athanasius’ Divine Mercy Sunday celebration. Make sure to park and leave your cars in the small parking lot near the gym doors @ St. Luke. If there’s anything else that comes up, I’ll let you know.
Please call me at 502-428-6757 if you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks!

Set for April 2-3, 2016—the Fire of Mercy pilgrimage is the next step to the Light of Faith youth rally! Leaving the Door of Mercy at St. Luke Church (4211 Jim Hawkins Dr.), we will experience the essence of Merciful Love during this Jubilee Year of Mercy. Touring the Kentucky Holy Lands, including Gethsemani, St. Joe’s Proto-Cathedral, and the Dominican communities of New Hope, we will then travel to Bowling Green to see what a college Catholic Campus Center looks like, we’ll experience the peace of Gasper River Catholic Youth Camp, and then finish strong with the Fathers of Mercy before heading home to Louisville on Sunday afternoon.
Attached is the Registration, to be turned in no later than Friday, March 18, 2016. Cost is only $40 per person and includes overnight accommodations at Gasper River CYC!
